The Pirate Candy Shop Wins Best Candy Shop of Florida 2026!
We have some very sweet news to share. The Pirate Candy Shop has been named a Best of Florida winner for 2026 in the Candy Stores category!
Every year, Guide to Florida holds its Best of Florida awards, giving customers and visitors the chance to vote for their favorite businesses across the state. Categories cover everything from restaurants and shopping to entertainment, services, and of course, candy shops.
This year, The Pirate Candy Shop was selected as the Best Candy Shop in Florida winner, and we are incredibly excited to receive the recognition.
Bringing Swedish Candy to Tampa Bay
When we opened The Pirate Candy Shop, our goal was pretty simple. We wanted to bring the Swedish pick-and-mix candy experience to Tampa Bay and give people the chance to try some of the candies we love.
Swedish candy is all about variety. Sweet, sour, fruity, fizzy, chewy, gummy, and everything in between. Instead of choosing just one type, you grab a bag and create your own mix from the candy wall.
Our stores have more than 100 different candies to choose from, including lots of BUBS favorites and vegan, gluten-free, and gelatin-free options.
If you have visited us before, you probably already have a few favorites. If you haven’t, half the fun is trying something new!
